Blogwalking Days, Lasting Friendships – In Memory of Twilightzone518

Saying Goodbye to Twilightzone518 – The TwilightMan I have not been a very good blogger—my last update was a while ago, on an Ipohboytech story about Blogger Apps Review . Nonetheless, I’ve decided to split my content more clearly moving forward: Ipohboymedia → Media / Technology / Entertainment / News Ipohboyjourney → Personal Shopping Experience / Movie / Life / Food / Travel But today, I return with some sad news I stumbled upon in August 2025. It took me a while to pen down my feelings as it still felt unreal, so here it is in my Ipohboylife storytelling mode. Blogging Days and Blogwalking Culture Back in the early days of the internet, when blogging and microblogging were the heart of “social media,” we bloggers had our own unique culture. One of the most popular was blogwalk or bloghop . We would visit each other’s blogs, leave comments, and often ask for return visits. It wasn’t just about boosting traffic—it was fun, and it built real connections. In August 2025, while...

How to be a winner tip#7: Donna Chiu VVIP Winner Love Remains 2017

It was pure luck that I won my parents a pair of VVIP tickets for Donna Chiu Love Remains Concert 2017. It was pretty simple!!!....

I basically just answered 2 simple questions, and just like that, my mom got a call from Astro on congratulating her for winning a pair of VVIP tickets for Donna Chiu Love Remains (裘海正 爱我和我爱的人) worth > RM 500. Actually, I checked all the details before joining the contest, since my parent is staying in Ipoh, so unless convenient, no point joining this contest. On my mom behalf, I drove to Astro Bukit Jalil for ticket collection, and it was one of the most frustrated moments in my life, because of the several seasons:

  1. Super jam, it took more than 1 hour to reach their office, and their refusal for me to enter at the staff entrance, further detoured for another 15 mins. Come on, it was already after working hours.
  2. Actually, why must I collect the ticket? Why don't they just setup a table at the concert venue, for ticket collection?

Despite the awful experience with the ticket collection, the sticker could not hide their happiness! Yeah, since the concert was located at the Megastar Arena Kuchai Lama, it was more than convenient to drive them to the show.

But, everything turned out to be quite nasty after that night. My dad (who has a huge temper) just called me and asked me to fetch them before the show ended. According to his comment, the sound system was pretty bad and the echoes were too loud, until his brain wanna exploded. So, based on this event, I have come up with another tip of the day:

#7: Don't simply join contest, unless you yourself are truly interested! An undesired win might lead to more undesired events!

Both of them actually vow that unless is Genting Highlands, they would not want to watch the show anymore, because of the lousy sound system in other venues...HMMMMM,.............
