Freaky in 2003 But It Got Freakier in Fridays in 2025 💫

OK… confession time 😅 Feeling extremely guilty in 2025 because I’ve only managed to post two blog posts here so far. With the help of Chatgpt, I am being honest, at least I can start to blog more. It seemed that I have a huge writer's block nowadays. As I got older, penning down something random without overthinking is much more difficult. (Please check at the end of the post for a collage video I made for actors in 2003 and 2025) One was to remember, my deceased blogger friend, Twilightman 👉 Here . This post is to review and revisit my teenage years of watching Freaky Friday 2003 (FF03).  So when Disney officially announced Freakier Friday (2025) (FF25) — the long-awaited sequel to Freaky Friday (2003) — my first reaction was: 👉 Wait… is this real, or just another Hollywood nostalgia scam? Yes, a gap of 22 years, having the same cast as a sequel instead of a remake. But beyond the nostalgia, this sequel feels symbolic — especially for Lindsay Lohan . After more than 15 year...

Free Gift from Chicken Rice Shop @ Nu Sentral #Throwback Post [Halal]

A nice surprise from #ChickenRiceShop because of my Instagram caption (below), I was selected as one of the recipients for the voucher below from The Chicken Rice Shop. A bit of badluck back then, but sometimes, a simple gesture really cheers people up a lot. Be kind, be nice ~ Thanks #ChickenRiceShop

Okie, I have to admit, that this was a bit while ago when the Grilled Butter Chicken set was still relatively new. And, so happened that, I was sending off my mom to the train station in KL Sentral. That's why, the timing was perfect to visit their branch in KL Sentral.

As you can see, the portion was quite okay. The meal came with vegetables, grilled chicken (actually more like fried chicken) and soup.

The pai choi was a bit off let down. Because it was over boiled. The rule of thumb is always 1 min with boiling water with this kind of vegetables. If more than 1 min, the texture will be spoilt.

The fried chicken was actually better than their normal steamed chickens. The butter sauce complimented the grilled (fried) chicken in a nice way. I totally loved the ginger and chili pastes.

Then, my mom ordered additional dishes for our lunch. But to our dismay, both of them tasted a bit weird for us.

The Penang Rojak was too too too SWEET ! Oh yeah, that's why they need to reduce the sweetness.

The Gado-Gado was also a disappointment, because the veges were too hard. It was actually a form of Indonesia salad. That's why making the dish needed a lot of fresh and soft vege.

Nonetheless, thanks to the voucher, I needed to only fork out RM 12.90 for 2 persons meal. Still, I am very very grateful to #TheChickenRiceShop . My overall rating is below (and the low marks were mainly due to Penang Rojak and Gado-Gado). But services were good !
