Legendary Cowan Street Beansprout Chicken | 高温街芽菜鸡 @ Ipoh [Non-Halal]

Ever since the attack by keyboard warriors on the “ Hishiko Woo Summoned Deity Issue ”, my will to blog has been rekindled and thanks to the virality of the post, it reached around 800 views in 4 days. It might not be a huge deal for you, because 800 views are like peanuts on social media like Facebook, Instagram and especially TikTok. But for a dying blogging culture, it is considered another humble milestone for my underrated small bloggie. Malaysia's Animals Deserve Better: Animal Welfare Acts 2015

In case, you stumble upon any animal abuse cases, please contact the phone number above!!!! For full contact of respective states, please check in the article.

Ipoh Boy has been constantly sharing life events and food. But, today, it just feels right to write about this, on strays in Malaysia. Not long before I started to remember as a child, my big family owned 2 dogs, when I was barely 3 years old, still lived in my kampung (Village in Malay). Indeed, it actually moulded and fostered an inseparable relationship between me and canines.

Fast forward to 25 years later, my family and I moved away from my old kampung, but we still rear three beautiful girls in our house. But over the years, we lost several babies in our lives, due to old age, poisonous animal attack and runaway "brides". I still vividly remembered the law in Malaysia seriously neglected the welfare of the strays and pets in Malaysia streets. Just see the several severe cases happened recently below:

The poor fella was abused, burned and amputated for no reason......Then, alone, he frighteningly curled himself up at a corner by the dumping area, until a kind soul finally saved him. This happened in Kampar, Perak!

Let's not forget this case, where both elderly couple chained their dog and dragged him over 2.3km in moving vehicle until its death. I just wondered why such abuse was necessary in the first place. What happen to human! Again, this happened in Kampar, Perak! I am not pointing at places for major dog abuse cases, but Kampar people ought to be more aware of this.....

After a long wait (2015), in this year (2017), everything finally changes for pets, strays and other animals in Malaysia, to make sure they don't suffer from unnecessary abuse! To cut my post short, please refer the following links for more information:

  1. The legal development in Malaysia for animal welfare (Here)
  2. 5 new laws from Malaysia Animal Welfare Act 2015 (Here)
With the government revising the extremely outdated Animal Welfare Act 1953 (before Malaysia's Independence Day 1957), more stringent punishments will be enforced as follows:

To make it easier for public's understanding, I say it very loud and clear:

"If you are found guilty of animal abuse, you can face a MINIMUM of RM 20,000 fine and MAXIMUM of RM 100,000 fine, and a 3-YEAR imprisonment"

So, please treat your pets appropriately, and don't simply abandon your pets! For everybody in Malaysia, if you have time, do share to your friends/ family, with 3 languages to broader audience! Beware, because nowadays, your acts can easily be captured with handphones!

  3. [Small Kuching] Yeah, that's why we need to let pet owners and other people know the magnitude and the consequence of abusing animals!!! Now, with the new law enforced, government not only can earn money, it helps to reduce animal abuse cases too (Hopefully)

[TM] Sigh, if you don't love dogs or cats (strays), just ignore them, instead of abusing them/ burn them/ pour hot water onto them....Hahaha, u rmb to take video, I don't mind reporting on ur behalf. hahahaha
